Blacktop Materials Engineering is a locally owned and operated independent construction materials testing laboratory in Geraldton, Western Australia. Established in 2000, we support civil construction, road construction, mining, local government and infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest and regional Western Australia.
Blacktop Materials Engineering is a NATA accredited laboratory providing soil, aggregate and concrete testing in accordance with the methods listed on our Scope of Accreditation, including applicable Australian Standards and Main Roads Western Australia test methods. Our Quality Manual and Quality Management System have been developed to meet applicable NATA accreditation requirements, AS ISO/IEC 17025 and AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
Blacktop Materials Engineering is led by our General Manager, with our Laboratory Manager responsible for laboratory operations, supported by our senior management team and experienced Senior Materials Technicians.
We are committed to developing the technical capability of our team through structured workplace training, practical field and laboratory experience, competency assessment and nationally recognised qualifications. Our technicians are supported in progressing through the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, Diploma of Laboratory Technology and Advanced Diploma of Laboratory Management.
